Group Chiasma's team members and advisors have extensive experience in bringing new ventures to life and in creating value through transformative change. We have held leadership and founder positions within both start-up and established companies across a range of technology and service businesses. Raj Malhotra
Raj is CEO and Founder of Group Chiasma. He brings a 20 year record in corporate development and innovation management. He was previously Chairman of Heartland Information Services and CEO and Founder of Spryance Inc., before merging this medical document management company with Heartland. Prior to Spryance he was Managing Director of HLM Ltd., a privately held business services and real estate development company in India. Raj also served in senior technology innovation management roles with Polaroid and DEC. He has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and BSEE and MSEE degrees from Cornell University.

           

Suren Rasaily
Suren is an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience building and leading successful service-based businesses in Asia. He was most recently Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for NIIT Ltd., the leading IT education & training company in Asia Pacific. During his 18 years with NIIT, Suren held various management roles throughout the company's Indian operations and was responsible for overseas expansion for several businesses including its new BPO Services business launched in 2002. Suren received his PGDM (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BS from North Bengal University.

 
 
Dilip Deshmukh
Dilip brings more than 25 years of diverse operations management experience with a particular focus on process development, revenue and profit optimization and productivity enhancement. Prior to joining Group Chiasma, he was VP,Operations for Spryance India, a leading health information management BPO. Prior to Spryance, he was AVP, Operations for Persistent Systems, a leading IT outsourcing vendor. Dilip also held key operations management roles at Xerox Modicorp - a major multinational that provides office automation products. Dilip completed post graduate studies in Materials Management at the University of Bombay and has a Bachelors in Commerce from the University of Pune.
Russell Franks
Russell has a successful track record of leadership with both start-ups and established companies. Prior experience includes Senior Vice President of Spryance Inc., a leading India-based supplier of medical transcription services to US and European clients, and senior management roles with Lycos and Viatel, both publicly traded technology-enabled service businesses. Previously, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and a venture capitalist with NatWest County Ventures. Russell has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Law from Oxford University.
 
 

Christopher Remus
Chris Remus brings nearly 15 years of operational and engineering experience in both entrepreneurial ventures and management consulting firms to Group Chiasma. His experience spans a wide range of technologies and has deployed and operated revenue generating and profitable solutions in emerging markets through the implementation of innovative solutions, in established and emerging markets. As a management consultant, both independently and with Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte Consulting, Remus has provided trusted advice to commercial enterprises, both Fortune 500 as well as start-up’s, as well as large Federal Government Defense and Civilian agencies on the operational capabilities required, from people, process, and technology perspectives, to enable predictable, reliable, and stable service delivery, through efficient and innovative approaches. Remus has also advised similar clients at the CxO levels on technology strategy. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and has completed Masters-level Business Administration coursework at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of business.

Lucinda Willan
After graduating from Cambridge University with a bachelors in Art History, Lucie has worked in the media and arts industry. Her creative stints have included publishing, curating, and media development roles with Christie's, the English Heritage, BBC Channel 4, and Graff.

 
 

Robert Bier
Rob founded and led three specialty lending businesses in the UK and the Netherlands. Previous to his entrepreneurial activities he was Managing Director of Kensington Mortgages and prior to that led the European Financial Services practice for Monitor Company, the global strategy firm. Rob has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelors in Engineering from Stanford University.

Charles Cella
Charles is collaborating with Group Chiasma on IP aggregation plans. Charles co-founded GTC Law Group — a highly regarded US patent strategy firm -- and is a recognized thought leader and leading practitioner in the patent and licensing fields. Prior to GTC, Charles founded and was CEO of BountyQuest, an Internet marketplace for information relevant to the strength, validity or applicability of patents and for which he recruited investments from Jeff Bezos and Tim O'Reilly, among others. Charles holds a A.B. in Physics from Princeton University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

 
 

Stephen Vozella
Steve builds organizations for highly effective communication and responsiveness. His philosophy of 100% ‘Client Loyalty’ is a major factor toward his success. Steve achieved great results at Fidelity Investments, First Data Corporation, and start-ups as an executive and CIO. He has experience in contact centers, client service, information systems, and operations in healthcare, ecommerce, and more. Steve improves the results of organizations through people, processes, and technology. He has a BS in Management from Boston College with studies in the Executive MBA program at Louisiana State University.

Jayne Thorpe
Jayne advises Group Chiasma on financial and business models. As part of Ineum Consulting in London, UK, she routinely works with CFOs of multinational organizations, Private Equity firms and Public Sector clients on strategic business opportunities, especially in relation to transactions. Jayne is also the Financial Director of Kind Consumer, a new, innovative and socially conscious Consumer Healthcare business. She previously worked in Business Consulting, Business Modelling and Audit with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and with KPMG. Jayne is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has an MBA from Oxford University.

 
 

Anil Harish
Anil is a sought after counselor to major multinational companies in India and Asia.  He specializes in corporate transactions and is a recognized authority on international taxation, joint ventures and collaboration.  He serves on the boards of several multinational companies and is a Partner at DM Harish, a leading Mumbai, India based law firm.

Rajen Shah
Rajen is an accomplished technology architect and has an exceptional record of achievement building operating systems, server systems, and application infrastructure. He was most recently CTO at Spryance where he was also an investor. Prior experience includes senior product management at Microsoft and senior technical design roles at high growth CRM companies Scopus (sold to Siebel) and Octane (Sold to E,piphany). Rajen has a Masters in Computer Science from Oregon State and a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK.

 
 

Wayne Gore
Wayne brings over 20 years of experience in leading global organizations and re-defining corporate business models. Previously, Wayne held leadership roles in global consulting organizations (Corporate Executive Board | McKinsey & Co.) and venture capital. He also led professional services businesses serving senior Global 2000 clients in areas of strategy, performance, and technology in addition to experience in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and corporate law at Debevoise and Plimpton. Wayne received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and graduate from Columbia University Schools of Law and Business.
